BRANDON — A 43-year-old man from Woodbury was arrested following an incident in Brandon early yesterday.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop after observing several motor vehicle violations on Franklin Street and McConnell Road at around 2:50 a.m.
The driver was identified as Graham Cassinell.
While speaking with Cassinell, police say they observed indicators of impairment.
He was screened and resisted arrest before being taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
Following an investigation, police say that Cassinell was in possession of a firearm which he was prohibited to possess.
He was transported to the Middlebury Police Department for processing and released with a citation for the above violation to appear in court at a later date.
