Newport Center man injured in North Troy motorcycle crash

NORTH TROY — A Newport Center man suffered injuries Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle and went into a ditch along Route 105, according to Vermont State Police.

Trevor Roberts, 28, was driving his 2012 Kawasaki Ninga 250R east when he veered off the road near Blais Road at about 12:24 p.m., investigators said.

He was transported to North Country Hospital in stable condition, with injuries to his left shoulder and arm.

Clear weather and dry road conditions were reported at the scene. Damage was noted to the left side panels of the Kawasaki, notably on the clutch side.

Authorities confirmed that Roberts was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, likely averting more severe injuries.

Members of the Newport Ambulance responded to the scene to provide medical assistance.

The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
