Two-vehicle crash with injuries in Arlington

ARLINGTON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Arlington yesterday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 313, near River Road, at around 11:40 a.m.

According to the report, two vehicles collided head-on while traveling on Vermont Route 313.

Police located two vehicles at a position of uncontrolled rest in the eastbound lane of travel with heavy damage.

According to the report, one of the drivers was traveling east, and the other was traveling west.

Police say that Ethan Mattison, 22, of Hoosick Falls, NY, was traveling east before crossing the double yellow center line.

Mattison attempted to maneuver back into the eastbound lane but collided with the second vehicle driven by Brett Beaudry, 53, of Pittsford.

Beaudry tried to avoid the collision with Mattison but was unsuccessful.

Police say roadway evidence, physical evidence, and driver statements were consistent throughout the investigation.

State Police were assisted on the scene by the Arlington Fire Department, Arlington Rescue Squad, Southern Vermont Auto, and Earle’s Truck Repair.
