WAITSFIELD — A local man has been arrested and charged with domestic assault following a disturbance in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Vermont State Police have identified the accused as 38-year-old Andrew Wimble.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 6:22 a.m., saw the authorities responding to reports of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Waitsfield.
The investigation determined that Wimble had inflicted pain and incited fear of injury in another household member, leading to minor injuries.
The victim declined medical attention.
Wimble was arrested for domestic assault in the presence of a child.
He was arraigned in the Washington unit of the Vermont Court on the same day.
In accordance with policy, the Vermont State Police have not released the name of the victim.
