Theft reported in Jamaica, police seek information

JAMAICA — Authorities are seeking information on a theft that occurred in the town of Jamaica, according to a report received by the Vermont State Police.

The incident took place on June 16 at around 5:49 p.m., but was only reported to the police on June 19.

The theft occurred at a residence on Vermont Route 30.

According to the complainant, a female person of interest was caught on camera stealing a weed whacker, a shovel, and a skateboard.

The suspect is described as wearing a black tank top, army camouflage pants, and Birkenstocks with thick soles.

She has a red bun or extension in her hair.

Surveillance footage shows that the woman arrived and left the scene in a mid-2000s model, silver RAM 1500 truck with a single cab and a short bed.

The truck bears a green and white license plate and has a white sticker on the back windshield.

Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and the truck.
