WESTMORE — An investigation is underway after a woman fell to her death from a scenic view on Mount Pisgah in Westmore, state police have said.
The incident occurred at around 7:00 a.m. this morning when police were called to the location following reports of personal belongings found near one of the mountain’s viewpoints.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that a woman had fallen from the lookout point.
The authorities have ruled the death as a suicide, stating it was an intentional act by the woman.
Her identity is currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The recovery of the deceased was assisted by Glover Ambulance and the Westmore Fire Department.
