BARTON — A 14-year-old girl has died after a side-by-side (SXS) rollover on private property in Barton.
According to Vermont State Police, the incident took place Saturday at around 6:42 p.m. off Ingersoll Lane.
The 14-year-old female operator lost control of the SXS resulting in it overturning onto its side.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two juvenile passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated by members of Orleans Fire Department and Orleans Ambulance Service.
The vehicle involved was a 2019 Polaris Ranger XP 1000.
The Vermont State Police are still investigating the incident.
