LEICESTER — A 22-year-old woman from Rutland was arrested for DUI following a crash in Leicester yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Lake Dunmore Road, near the intersection of Fern Lake Road, at around 7:45 p.m.
The driver was identified as Alyssa Carey.
Police say that Carey was traveling east on Lake Dunmore Road before exiting the eastbound lane and striking a tree.
While speaking with Carey, police say they detected indicators of impairment.
She was screened, placed under arrest, and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.
At the conclusion of processing, Carey was released to a sober party with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
