BELVIDERE — A 85-year-old man is facing charges following an incident in Belvidere last month.
On March 30, authorities say they began an investigation on Rene Maxfield, of Belvidere, based on information received from a Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department investigation.
It was found that Maxfield was possibly in possession of two firearms.
Police say Maxfield is brady disqualified and a prohibited person.
On Tuesday, troopers executed a search warrant on Maxfield’s property, and two firearms were seized.
He is ordered to appear in court for the charge of being a prohibited person.
