WINHALL — Police are investigating a crash that took place in Winhall on Wednesday.
Authorities say they were notified of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Vermont Route 11/30 and Vermont Route 30, with possible injuries resulting at around 12:25 p.m.
According to the report, a vehicle had taken the right turn off of Vermont Route 11/30 onto Vermont Route 30, lost control, and hit a yield sign.
Police say the impact of the crash completely ripped the yield sign out of the ground.
The vehicle then traveled in an unknown direction leaving the scene of the crash.
Police say the yield sign had part of the vehicle that was involved in the crash still attached to it.
