The threat was received by a middle-school student on Wednesday.

According to authorities, the student received an anonymous call on her cellphone from an unknown person who threatened violence at the school.

The student reported the call to the school resource officer, prompting an immediate response from VSP and FCSO.

After searching the building and speaking with the student who received the threatening call, police found no evidence to indicate the threat was credible.

However, in an abundance of caution, school officials cancelled most after-school activities and made the decision to cancel class tomorrow.

Police continue to investigate the origin of the threat.
