EDEN — A 63-year-old woman was arrested for her third DUI following a crash in Eden yesterday.

The two-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Vermont Route 100 and Vermont Route 118 at around 6:20 p.m.

Police say Jeannie Ketcham, of Eden, was traveling from Vermont Route 118, crossing Vermont Route 100, prior to the crash.

Donald Kelley, 29, of Newport Town, told police that Ketcham suddenly pulled out in front of him and crashed into his vehicle.

Police say Ketcham failed to yield to northbound traffic on Vermont Route 100.

Kelley was unable to stop in time resulting in the collision.

While speaking with Ketcham, police say they detected several indicators of impairment.

After a roadside investigation, Ketcham was arrested for the suspicion of DUI and transported to the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department for processing.

It was also learned that Ketcham was operating with a criminally suspended license stemming from a previous DUI conviction.

At the conclusion of processing, Ketcham was issued a citation to appear in court on April 26 to answer to DUI #3 and operating with a criminally suspended license.

Troopers were assisted by the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department, North Hyde Park Fire, NEMS, and Polar Bear Towing.
