Fairfax teen arrested after threatening customers at Steeple Market with a knife

FAIRFAX — A Fairfax teen has been arrested after threatening customers and coworkers with a knife at the Steeple Market in Fairfax.

Andrew Tippy, 18, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, aggravated disorderly conduct, criminal threatening, and retail theft following the incident that took place today.

According to the Vermont State Police, Tippy, an employee of Steeple Market, was shouting profanities and threats while brandishing a knife.

He was ultimately arrested and ordered held without bail at Northwest State Correctional Center.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Vermont Superior Court – Franklin Criminal Division on Monday.
