Six candidates running for Vermont Electric Co-op Board of Directors

JOHNSON — Six candidates are vying for three seats up for election this year on the board of directors of Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC).

The districts and the candidates running in each are:

– District 1: Bill Gilbert of Lemington and Don Worth of Island Pond
– District 6: Paul Lambert of Georgia
– West Zone: Jody Dunklee, Vinnie Jiwatram, and Ricky Wood, all of Fairfax

VEC members will be able to vote for candidates online or by mail beginning April 18 through May 11.

The winners of the election will be announced at VEC’s Annual Meeting, which will be held on May 13 at Jay Peak Resort.

VEC members attending the Annual Meeting are invited to a free breakfast starting at 8 a.m.

The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs until about 12 p.m.

There will be an opportunity for Q&A and a drawing for prizes.
