HAMPSTEAD — The Hampstead Police Department has arrested one suspect and is seeking a second suspect in connection with a burglary at a Circle K gas station earlier this month.
On March 13, police responded to an alarm activation at the gas station on Stage Road.
Upon arrival, Officer Bozek located a newer model red Honda Accord parked on the side of the store, with two suspects actively loading stolen goods.
The suspects fled the scene on foot.
Over the past two weeks, the Hampstead Police Department’s Detective Division conducted an investigation that included old-fashioned police work and multiple search warrants.
Two suspects were identified and linked to other crimes, including a police pursuit in Pelham, NH, and stealing a car in Salem, NH.
On March 23, Christopher Gaffney, 18, of Haverhill, MA, was arrested and charged with burglary, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, and theft by unauthorized taking.
He was released on $500.00 personal recognizance bail and has an arraignment in Rockingham Superior Court on April 27.
The police department has an active arrest warrant for Gianfranco Gonzalez, 22, of Haverhill, MA, who is presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
The warrant is for charges including burglary, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, theft by unauthorized taking, criminal mischief, and receiving stolen property.
Gonzalez has ties to Haverhill, MA, Salem, MA, and New York.
Anyone with information on Gonzalez’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Hampstead Police Department and speak with Detective Randell at (603) 329-5700.
