PUTNEY — A 22-year-old man was arrested for domestic assault following an incident in Putney.
Authorities say they were notified of a disturbance between two roommates at a home on South Pine Banks Road at around 4:30 p.m. on March 23.
While en route to the home, police say the caller was struck with a car jack and injured.
Police say they found the caller outside the home when they arrived.
The suspect was identified as Zachary D. Smith, of Putney.
After questioning Smith and based off the totality of the circumstances, he was placed under arrest for domestic assault.
He was transported to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and released with conditions.
