RIPTON — A 77-year-old man from New Haven was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Ripton yesterday.
The crash took place on Vermont Route 125 at around 4:40 p.m.
According to the initial report, Peter Nichols was traveling east before crossing the centerline, striking Bruce Perlow, 46, of Middlebury, head on.
Nichols was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash.
Troopers were assisted by Middlebury Rescue and the Ripton Fire Department.
The road was closed for approximately two hours for scene processing.
