FAIR HAVEN — A 39-year-old woman was arrested following an incident in Fair Haven on Wednesday.
Authorities say they were notified of gunfire on West Street, with initial reports that a person may have been shot.
Police say no one was shot but a firearm was discharged in the direction of another person.
Police quickly identified Rebecca Ross, of Fair Haven, as the shooter and took her into custody without incident.
Following an investigation, police learned that a subject got into a verbal altercation with Ross and other subjects at the home.
Police say Ross then allegedly took a handgun from another person and shot a round off at the victim.
The victim reported hearing the bullet pass by them.
Ross was arrested and arranged and released on conditions.
