NEWPORT – The Newport Police Department opened a missing person investigation on March 21, seeking the whereabouts of 40-year-old Mark Hudson.
Following a multi-agency effort, Hudson was located in a wooded area off of Paradise Road in Newport.
Sadly, he had passed away.
The cause and manner of Hudson’s death will be determined by the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office.
However, based on the evidence gathered by investigators so far, there is no safety threat to the public.
Newport Police received assistance in this matter from the New Hampshire State Police, New Hampshire Probation and Parole, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, the Claremont Police Department, the Sunapee Police Department, and the Newport Fire Department.
