WOODSTOCK – A serious motor vehicle crash on I-93 South in Woodstock today has left one man seriously injured.
Police say at around 11:30 a.m. Zachary Gunther, 38, of Gorham, NH, was passing vehicles at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the 1999 Toyota Camry and rolled onto the shoulder.
As a result of the crash, Gunther received serious injuries and was transported to Speare Memorial Hospital.
He was subsequently airlifted by Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART) to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Gunther was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and speed and alcohol are believed to be contributors to the accident, police say.
Troopers were assisted on the scene by the Woodstock Police Department, Linwood Ambulance, and Woodstock Fire Department.
