POWNAL — A 31-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a crash in Pownal yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a motor vehicle crash in the area of US Route 7 at around 4:50 p.m.
Police identified the driver as Andrew Crawford, of Pownal.
According to the report, Crawford failed to stop behind a turning truck who was driven by Scott Lampman, 66, of Pownal.
The truck crashed into the back of Crawford.
Following an investigation, police allege that Crawford was under the influence of alcohol.
He was transported to the Shaftsbury barracks for processing and later released to appear in court at a later date.
