Man found unconscious in Cambridge charged with DUI, stealing car

CAMBRIDGE – Vermont State Police responded to a report of an unconscious woman in a vehicle at Rusty’s Pizza and Pie on Route 15 in the town of Cambridge.

The incident took place yesterday at around 1:00 p.m.

Troopers arrived on the scene to find a now conscious Devin Legassie, 31, speaking with EMS.

During the interaction with Legassie, troopers observed several indicators of impairment from a substance other than alcohol.

Legassie was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI – Drug and transported to Morrisville Police Department for processing.

During processing, it was discovered that Legassie had an active arrest warrant.

He was issued a citation to appear the DUI charge, as well as possession of a stolen vehicle and failure to appear.
