RUTLAND – A Vermont man has been charged with simple assault after an incident at a hotel in Rutland Town.
According to a police report, on March 17, at around 10:20 p.m. troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to a call at the Holiday Inn.
They found William Barrett, 61, of Rutland Town, had been assaulted by Juan Gonzalez, 27, of Rutland City.
Gonzalez was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charge of simple assault.
No further information was immediately available.
