Crash with injuries on I-91 in Derby Line

DERBY LINE – A two-vehicle crash on I-91 in Derby Line left one driver hospitalized with minor injuries this morning.

According to the Vermont State Police, the crash occurred at around 10:15 a.m. during snowy weather conditions.

Charles Graham, 37, of Thetford Mines, QC, was driving a 2015 BMW X5 when he lost control of the vehicle and slid into a 2018 VTrans plow truck driven by Dalton Driver, 58, of Newport.

Graham was taken to North Country Hospital for injuries.

The BMW was totaled in the accident, while the plow truck sustained minimal damage.

Troopers believe that snowy road conditions played a major factor in the crash.

Vermont State Police, Derby Line Fire Department, and Newport Ambulance all responded to the crash.

The rest area exit lane was closed for approximately 45 minutes while crews cleared the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
