FAIR HAVEN — A 48-year-old woman was arrested for DUI following an incident in Fair Haven last week.
Police say they arrested Margaret L. Ingerson, of Fair Haven, after stopping her for a motor vehicle violation at around 2:15 p.m.
Police say Ingerson was stopped for failure to keep right on Dutton after she crossed the center lane numerous times.
Upon interview, police say they detected Ingerson to be under the influence of alcohol.
Ingerson then failed field sobriety exercises and was taken into custody.
She was found to have a BAC of .341 which is above the legal limit to operate a motor vehicle.
Police learned Ingerson’s driver’s license was also under criminal suspension for a prior DUI.
A passenger in the vehicle was found to have a BAC of .385 and was taken to the emergency room for evaluation.
The passenger was issued a civil violation for permitting illegal operation of a motor vehicle after it was determined they were aware Ingerson was operating under suspension.
Ingerson was arrested and released to appear in court at a later date.
