BENNINGTON — An 18-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Bennington this week.
On March 8, authorities say they were notified of a suspicious injury to an infant on West Road at around 12:30 p.m.
Police say they coordinated with the Department of Children and Families and interviewed the child’s father, who was identified as John T. Chinnici Jr.
During the course of the investigation, police say that Chinnici Jr. injured the infant purposefully.
Chinnici Jr. was arrested, processed, and charged as an adult with one count of aggravated assault.
