St. Johnsbury man charged after fleeing crash scene in Lyndon

LYNDON — A 25-year-old woman from Lyndon was involved in a two-vehicle crash yesterday.

The crash took place in the area of Main Street and South Street at around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the report, Andy Dwyer, 35, of St. Johnsbury, was headed south on Main Street erratically when he failed to maintain his lane.

He drove onto the sidewalk, where he struck and destroyed two power lines.

Dwyer also crashed into a secondary moving vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Police say nobody was injured in this crash.

Dwyer was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court for the charges of leaving scene of an accident and Negligent Operation.
