Laptop given away by accident at Cheshire County thrift shop

MARLBOROUGH — A Lenovo laptop belonging to a volunteer was mistakenly given away at the Homestead Thrift Shop on Main Street at around 1 p.m. today.

It contains personal information that is essential to the volunteer, including contact details, personal documents, and important project files.

Police are asking the public’s assistance in retrieving the laptop.

The gentleman who now has it is possibly a middle-aged man named “Luke,” described as an “antiques dealer” with dark hair and a beard.

Police say this was an unfortunate accident and do not suspect any criminal intent.

If you know the whereabouts of the laptop or the person who has it, please come forward and contact police immediately.
