ESSEX — A 43-year-old man is facing multiple charges following an incident in Essex yesterday.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop for a lane violation on Route 15 at around 9:50 p.m.
The driver was identified as Sanford Patterson, of Essex.
Throughout the course of the investigation, Patterson allegedly displayed signs of impairment.
He was found to be operating a motor vehicle with a criminally suspended license, and was in violation of court-ordered conditions not to be operating a vehicle.
While attempting to take Patterson into custody, police say he resisted.
He was transported to the Williston barracks for processing.
At the conclusion of processing, Patterson was released with court-ordered conditions and cited to appear in court on March 6 for the charges of DUI #2, criminal refusal, violation of conditions of release, driving with a criminally suspended license, resisting arrest, and cited to appear.
