RUTLAND — A 27-year-old man was arrested for DUI drugs following an incident in West Rutland early this morning.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle violation on West Street at around 1:30 a.m.
While speaking with the driver, identified as Randy Farrell, of Rutland, police say they observed signs of impairment.
Farrell was administered standardized field sobriety tests roadside and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Farrell’s license was also found to be under criminal suspension.
He was transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland barracks for processing and released on a citation to appear in court to answer for the charge of DUI drug and DLS.
