PORTSMOUTH — Portsmouth Police say an employee with the department was involved in a DUI crash.
Jackie Burnett, the executive assistant to Portsmouth Police Chief Mark Newport, was charged with driving under the influence following the incident.
The crash took place on Peverly Hill Road just before 2:00 a.m.
Portsmouth Police have said that they asked State police to cover the crash when they learned a city employee was involved.
She is scheduled to appear in court on March 29.
