HIGHGATE — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash with injuries in Highgate yesterday.
The crash took place near the intersection of Route 78 and Lampkin Street at around 5:30 p.m.
According to the report, Nathan Roy, 20, of Grand Isle, was traveling west on Route 78 at an unknown speed prior to the crash.
He crossed the center lane, striking Mason D. Vieta, 25, of Highgate, in the front driver side door.
Vieta was pushed back approximately 15 feet, making a slight contact with another vehicle that was fueling up at the Irving Gas Station.
Jessica Cota, 46, of Swanton, who was at the gas station, was not injured during the crash.
Police say both vehicles were totaled in the incident.
Vieta sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to Northwest Medical Center for additional treatment.
