FAIRFIELD — A 31-year-old man from Fairfield was arrested for his second DUI following a crash in Fairfield yesterday.
The single-vehicle rollover crash took place on Route 36 and South/North Road at around 1:55 a.m.
Police say they identified the sole occupant and driver as Cody A. Mercy, of Fairfield.
According to the report, Mercy was traveling east on Route 36, when he lost control of his vehicle, rolling the vehicle on its roof.
Police say no injuries were sustained from the crash.
While speaking with Mercy, police say they observed several indicators of impairment.
Mercy was arrested for the suspicion of DUI and transported to the St. Albans barracks for processing.
At the conclusion of processing, he was issued a citation to appear in court on March 20 to answer the charge of DUI #2.
Troopers were assisted by Fairfield Fire / Rescue and the vehicle was towed by Stone’s Towing.
