GEORGIA — Interstate 89 north was closed following a multi-vehicle crash just north of the Georgia rest area this morning.
The highway’s northbound lanes were closed at around 8:05 a.m.
Police say 14 vehicles were involved in the crash.
Only minor injuries were reported in the incident.
Blowing snow and road conditions were to blame, police say.
The highway’s northbound lanes were closed for about an hour.
All lanes reopened just after 9 a.m., and police are still investigating this crash.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution, travel at speeds appropriate for the conditions, leave plenty of stopping distance, and plan additional time to reach their destinations.
