PELHAM — A 57-year-old man from New Hampshire was arrested following an incident in Pelham yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified that a truck crashed into the Grand 38 restaurant on Bridge Street at around 5:00 p.m.

A caller told police that the driver appeared unwell.

Police say they located the truck driver inside the restaurant and identified him as Kevin Steele.

The investigation determined that Steele was impaired when he drove to the restaurant and struck the door and fence.

He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving after suspension, and two counts of criminal mischief.

He was bailed and released to a sober adult.

He will be arraigned in court on March 6.
