GREENLAND — A 65-year-old man from Maine was involved in a crash in Greenland on Monday.

Police say they came across a tractor-trailer that had gone off the road in the area of mile marker 9.8 on I-95 south at around 11:35 p.m.

The vehicle had sustained significant damage from striking numerous trees and other objects, as it came to final rest in the wood line.

The driver, Jarvis E. Simpson, of Turner, ME, was not injured in the crash.

The highway was limited to two lanes for several hours, as crews worked to safely remove the tractor-trailer from the scene.

He was cited for operating a commercial motor vehicle while impaired by fatigue.

Troopers were assisted by the Greenland Fire Department, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and National Wrecker.
