Man arrested for DUI-drugs in Bridport

BRIDPORT — A 60-year-old man from East Middlebury was arrested following an incident in Bridport yesterday.

Police say they responded to a suspicious man in a blue Chevy Cobalt.

The vehicle was located at a pull-off near the intersection of Vermont Route 125 and East Street at around 9:50 p.m.

The driver was identified as James Turner, who they say displayed several indicators of impairment while speaking with him.

Turner was arrested for driving under the influence.

At the completion of processing, he was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date, and faces charges of DUI-drugs.
