FAIRFIELD — A 23-year-old man from Enosburg was killed during a single-vehicle crash in Fairfield early this morning.
The crash took place on Vermont Route 36, near the intersection of Whiteland Drive, at around 5:50 a.m.
The driver was identified as Dylan Leavitt.
Leavitt was traveling east on Vermont Route 36, crossed the double yellow centerline, and shortly thereafter departed the road.
Police say the vehicle was nearly broadside and struck a tree near the front driver door.
The vehicle then came to a position of uncontrolled rest and Leavitt was partially ejected.
No further information is available at this time.
Police say the investigation is in the preliminary stages, and more information should be released shortly.
