COLCHESTER — A 43-year-old man from New Hampshire was arrested for DUI in Colchester yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a single-vehicle crash on I-89 north at around 4:10 p.m.
The driver was identified as Donald Rivait, of Dummer, NH.
Police say he displayed indicators of alcohol impairment.
He was first evaluated by EMS for precautionary reasons due to the crash and taken to the UVMC.
He was later discharged and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston barracks for processing.
At the conclusion of processing, he refused to provide an evidentiary sample and was charged with DUI refusal.
He was later released on a citation to appear in court for the offense.
