PEMBROKE — A 23-year-old man from Maine was arrested for DUI following an incident in Pembroke on Tuesday.
Police say they attempted to stop a tractor-trailer on Pembroke Street after witnessing the truck display severe lane control issues for some distance.
Even with lights and sirens on, the truck continued weaving back and forth, failing to pull over.
Three minutes into attempting to get the driver to stop, Trooper Cattabriga was finally able to pull up next to the truck at a red light and flag the driver over.
The driver was slow to pull over and almost struck a mailbox before bringing the truck to a final rest just north of Pembroke Academy.
The driver, identified as Wyatt Damon was placed under arrest for violation of NH RSA 265-A:2 driving under the influence.
The tractor-trailer unit was towed from the scene.
