ST. JOHNSBURY — A 41-year-old woman was arrested for domestic assault following an incident in St. Johnsbury yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a domestic disturbance on Avenue A at around 6:00 p.m.
Police say the accused, identified as Laurie Boynton, had already left the scene when they arrived.
Following an investigation, police allege that Boynton had assaulted a household member.
Later that night, State police located Boynton and placed her under arrest for domestic assault.
She was taken to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing and cited to appear in court to answer for the charge.
