WESTMINSTER — A 27-year-old woman from Springfield was arrested for DUI following a crash in Westminster early this morning.
Authorities say they were notified of a single-vehicle crash into a utility pole on U.S. Route 5 at around 2:10 a.m.
According to the report, Chelsea M. Ovaitte was operating a 2012 Chevrolet Impala when she drove off the road and crashed into a utility pole on U.S. Route 5 near the Vermont Route 123 intersection.
An investigation found that Ovaitte was impaired, police say. She was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Ovaitte was transported to the Westminster State Police barracks for processing.
She was released with a criminal citation to appear in court on February 14 to answer the charge.
