DUI crash in Mendon

MENDON — A 25-year-old man from Florence was arrested for DUI following a crash in Mendon yesterday.

The crash took place on Helvi Hill Road at around 9:35 p.m.

Police say they arrived on the scene and while speaking with the driver, identified as Maxwell Anthony, signs of impairment were observed.

Anthony refused roadside standardized field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

He was transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland barracks for processing.

He was released on a citation to appear in court to answer for the charge.
