Police investigating shooting incident in Concord

CONCORD — Police are investigating a shooting incident that took place in Concord early this morning.

Authorities say they were notified of a shots fired call for service in the area of Pleasant Street at around 1:45 a.m.

A witness told police that he observed two subjects standing in the area and that one of the subjects had a handgun.

The witness told police that as he was driving out of the area, he heard a gunshot.

The Concord Police Department has received no reports of injury related to this incident.

Police say the individuals involved have been identified and interviewed.

It has been found that there is no danger to the public at this time.
