MONTPELIER — A 35-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Montpelier on January 15.
Authorities say they were notified of an ongoing domestic altercation in a hotel room on Main Street at around 3:10 p.m.
Police say they located one party, a pregnant woman, who had significant visible injuries and was treated by the Montpelier Ambulance Service.
It was found that her domestic partner, later identified as Mackenzie Rollins, was intoxicated and had assaulted her.
He then fled the scene, police say.
He was later located and taken into custody.
There were multiple sets of court-ordered conditions of release prohibiting him from possessing or consuming alcohol and from engaging in violent, threatening, or tumultuous behavior.
Police say that probable cause was established that Rollins had committed the crime of domestic assault and violation of conditions of release.
