LYNDONVILLE — A 31-year-old man was arrested on a warrant in Lyndonville yesterday.
Police say they went to the Carpet Connection on Depot Street to attempt to locate Alan Tanguay, of Lyndonville, on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear.
While officers spoke with the business owner at the entrance to the warehouse, Tanguay fled from a side exit.
After discovering that Tanguay fled, police say Officer Harris followed his tracks in the freshly fallen snow.
Police say they followed Tanguay’s prints down to Williams Street, over to Raymond Street, and ultimately to East Street.
The tracks led to an address on East Street which Tanguay has ties to, but Tanguay was not located inside.
Yesterday, at around 1:00 p.m, he was located at the East Street address.
He was taken into custody without incident.
Tanguay also had conditions of release not to be at that address, or to have contact with the resident there.
He was transported to the Lyndonville Police Department for processing.
The courts were notified that he was in custody, and the judge ordered that he be cited and released on his warrant.
