RUTLAND — A 27-year-old man is facing over 40 charges following his arrest in Rutland on Thursday
Police say they located Cory Munger, of Rutland, on Pine Street.
Munger was known to have an active arrest warrant after failing to appear on multiple cases.
The warrant contained 5 charges for retail theft and 6 charges for violation of conditions of release from cases from Rutland City Police officers.
Rutland City Police and other local police agencies have been investigating numerous other theft related incidents recently where Munger was the suspect.
Police released a summary of those charges, but say the list is not exhaustive due to the high number of cases and the amount of officers working each individual case.
Munger was charged with 1 count of simple assault, 5 counts of retail theft, and 10 counts of violation of conditions of release.
Police say he was also charged with 4 counts of retail theft and 1 count of possession of stolen property over $900.
He was also charged with 2 counts of retail theft and 2 counts of violation of conditions of release.
Finally, police say he was charged with 1 count of retail theft and 1 count of violation of conditions of release.
