KEENE — A fatal crash took place in Keene on Thursday.
The two-vehicle collision took place on Route 12 at around 2:40 p.m.
Police say Marlana Thibault, 27, of Keene, was traveling south on Route 12, in the area of Forge Street, prior to the crash.
The investigation indicates that Thibault’s vehicle crossed the centerline, colliding with a 2019 Buick Encore that was traveling north.
The vehicles collided head-on, resulting in severe front-end damage.
Thibault, her adult male passenger, and a juvenile passenger were all transported to Cheshire Medical Center for treatment of injuries believed to not be life-threatening.
The second driver, Richard Bergeron, 85, of Springfield, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Route 12 was closed in the area for several hours and has since been reopened.
The collision is currently under investigation by the Keene Police Collision Analysis Team.
