Driver charged after fleeing crash in Shelburne

SHELBURNE — A 30-year-old man from Milton was arrested following a crash in Shelburne early this morning.

The two-vehicle crash involving a passenger car and a truck took place on Shelburne Road at around 1:10 a.m.

Police were advised that the truck had left the scene.

Troopers along with the Winooski Police Department were able to locate the vehicle again and initiate a traffic stop on Route 15 in front of St. Michaels College.

The driver was identified as Tyler Partyka.

While speaking with Partyka, police say they observed several indicators of impairment.

He was arrested for the suspicion of DUI, criminal DLS, leaving the scene of an accident, eluding a police officer, negligent operation, and violation conditions of release.

At the conclusion of processing, Partyka was issued a citation to appear in court on January 26 to answer to the charges.

State Police was assisted by Winooski Police Department, Colchester Police Department, Censor Security, and Shelburne Rescue.
