Driver arrested for DUI #3 in Bristol

BRISTOL — A 40-year-old man from Middlebury was arrested for his third DUI following an incident in Bristol on Saturday.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop after observing a motor vehicle violation on Vermont Route 116 at around 11:30 p.m.

The driver was identified as Robert Martineit.

While speaking with Martineit, police say they detected indicators of impairment.

He was screened, placed under arrest, and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.

At the conclusion of processing, he was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.

He is being charged with DUI #3.
